Do you recruit internationally?

Yes, we regularly recruit candidates with post-secondary degrees in early childhood education. For international candidates, we use the Francophone Mobility program to obtain work permits. Only qualified educator positions are open to international applicants.

I have a post-secondary diploma in early childhood education from another country. Will my diploma be recognized in Nova Scotia?

Recognition of your international diploma takes place in two stages:Your diploma will be evaluated by an independent body. We recommend WES .Evaluation by the Nova Scotia Childcare Staff Classification ServicesThe evaluation criteria are available here . As part of our international recruitment, we are recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 educators.

I don't have a degree in early childhood education, can I still apply?

Yes, provided you enroll in a qualifying course.You will need to:You must follow the Early Childhood Education and Care Orientation Program   in order to obtain the entry-level classification,   within 6 months of being hired.Complete the courses to obtain level 1 classification within two years of hiring.It is also possible to then continue towards a college diploma in early childhood education to obtain level 2 classification.All courses are offered online, in French, and asynchronously, allowing you to balance work, studies and personal life.The orientation program is offered free of charge. Scholarships are regularly available for Level 1 and Level 2 courses.
