Our Board of Directors

As you know, Le Petit Voilier is a non-profit organization, and its board of directors plays a key strategic role. Board members contribute directly to the organization’s direction, sustainability, and development. We are seeking individuals with expertise in law, management, marketing, human resources, or communications. Applications from motivated individuals who wish to contribute actively and gain a rewarding experience, both personally and professionally, are also welcome. Our board is composed of 6 to 15 members.

  • Flora Salvo : CEO - President

  • Robert Breau : Executive - Vice-President

  • Caroline Duchesne: manager-treasurer

  • Antoine Varin : administrator

  • Joseph Kabou : administrator

  • Rana Elkashlan : administrator

  • Danielle Comeau : administrator

Commitment requested

  • Two-year term of office

  • Meetings held every two months, in the evening

  • Meetings are held primarily in a virtual format via Teams.

 

The board of directors will be called upon to contribute to strategic directions related to the development of the organization, the consolidation of our services and the evolution of our future projects.

Members are usually elected at the annual general meeting.

Role and responsibilities of the board of directors

The Board of Directors assumes, in particular, the following functions:

  • Establish the policies and regulations governing the Company;

  • To oversee the implementation of the decisions of the general assembly of members;

  • Establish committees as needed and receive their reports;

  • Approve the proposed annual budget;

  • Receive monthly financial reports and ensure proper budget management;

  • Ensure that the financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles;

  • Approve contracts and agreements binding the Company;

  • Being responsible for hiring and firing senior management;

  • To be responsible for financing costs and ensuring the smooth operation of the Company
